NAFCT Hosted Successful Virtual Education Event

Gray Court, SC — The National Association of Floor Covering Technicians (NAFCT), recently hosted a two day virtual education event on April 6th and 7th, featuring technical education from industry professionals. These sessions were recorded and are available for on-demand viewing at http://bit.ly/NAFCTvirtualevent for only $35.

Attendees of the virtual education event experienced a series of live presentations and demonstrations. The first educational session was presented by Dean Craft of ISE Logik discussing concrete: components, placement and finishing. This presentation was followed by Don Jewell of Loba-Wakol, delivering the session wood floor maintenance. Next up was Mike Pigeon of Floor Connection, in this presentation, attendees learned about heat welding and flashcove installation. Closing out the first day was Seth Pevarnik of ARDEX Americas, speaking about closing the gap between Division 3 and Division 9. On the second day, Sonny Callaham of Divergent Adhesives,  kicked off the day with a presentation about concrete porosity. Then, Andy McWilliams of Novalis US spoke about rigid core installation requirements and demonstrated pro tips. To conclude day two, attendees were treated to a wood science symposium hosted by Frank Owens of Mississippi State University and Patricia Vega of the Wood Based Composite Center at Oregon State University.
