BIOGRAPHY: Barry Flath
Barry holds an MBA from Suffield University
For fifteen years Barry worked in the Lumber Yard/ Home center field and in 1977 became the youngest manager in history for one of the two lumber companies Barry worked for.
In 1991 Barry started working for a local retail flooring store in Grand Forks North Dakota and continues to manage the flooring department to this date. During this time line the flooring department has grown from several hundred thousand dollars a year to a multi-million dollar operation. A few years ago the retail store changed ownership and Barry stayed on with the new owner.
In 1997 it became apparent the industry was moving towards independent inspectors to help settle claims. None being in the area it was a lengthy process to get an inspection set up and completed so the decision was made to certify.
Barry has been married to his wife Cindy for over 40 years and they have two daughters, Melodie (Flath) Larson of Byron MN and Amber Flath of Grand Forks ND.
